A unique operating room opened in the Tyumen neurosurgery center
Following vascular coagulation, microscopic techniques and neuronavigation (the use of various methods for precise localization of the object during operations), neurosurgery has entered a new advanced technology-monitoring the progress of the operation in real time using diagnostic equipment-CT and MRI scan. Specifically, the new Tyumen operating room uses a high-resolution computed tomography method, which allows you to monitor the progress of the process by displaying the brain and spinal cord on the screen.
According to the chief physician Albert Sufianov, the new equipment will help people who were previously denied operations at all. Moreover, the process of postoperative rehabilitation of patients will be reduced.
The project to create a new operating room was born a long time ago, and only now, thanks to the efforts of the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Council approved the implementation of this idea. The Federal Center for Neurosurgery should become a model clinic that uses advanced technologies on a par with the capital’s medical institutions.
