Perinatal center in Nalchik opened

An important event for the region took place in Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria. A new state-of-the-art perinatal center was officially opened and put into operation. This is the first building in the republic, built and built using the latest technologies, which the residents of the subject and its management are very proud of. The total cost of the project is very significant – almost 2.5 billion rubles. Almost half of this amount was allocated from the budget of the republic, and the remaining part – from the federal budget.

There are only one hundred and thirty beds in the center. There are several departments, such as: gynecology, pathology of pregnant women, pediatrics, radiation diagnostics, pathology of newborns and resuscitation. The staff consists of 600 people, and the consultation is designed for one hundred visits in one shift. More than a hundred doctors have received additional training to work on modern neonatology equipment. In addition, the perinatal center in Nalchik is provided with premium-class resuscitation vehicles. First of all, the new center will focus on the care of children whose weight exceeds a little more than 500 grams.
